I didn't watch the video but I did have two friends lose their children in their pools. I then vowed to teach my children how to swim.  Even with that, my daughter had a near fatal accident when she and my nephew swam to far at the beach and the current took her.  She  knows how to swim but it was to strong for her and she panicked.  Fortunately my nephew who is 13 saw her and knew how to swim with the current was able to get her, calm her down and bring them both back to land.  My sisters who were with them couldn't swim and I was shaking listening to them tell me this story over the phone.  I live in NJ and my sister in FL and there was nothing I could do.  I kiss all over her everyday and I think it's getting on her nerves but she lets me do it because she understands.  My kids are my life force.

I've been watching various YT videos on this all morning .. it is so scary to watch, but I love the fact that these little people can learn the skill to survive.

My sister started my lil niece in swimming lessons when she was 6 mos old .. she's now 8 & swims like a fish in 10 ft of water!

I'm definitely going to look into some lessons for me, my daughter & the LO!
