I had a convo with MH this morning and I think he finally got it that I'm not completely back to normal yet.
I told him that after I had J, though I just realized this, I ordered a bunch of shirts from the Gap and all of them were gray or gray toned. All 4 of them.
I used to have long, waist length hair and cut it all off during this pregnancy. And dyed it much much darker.
While the color is nice and the cut is nice, I feel like Charlize's character who went from a blond to cutting her hair short and dying it dark. Not the killing herself part though.
Anyway, this is just a bunch of rambling, but at least I'm not asking for advice (DandR).
I'll be growing my hair out now and going back towards lighter hair. Anything to start making me feel better.
Re: I feel like Charlize Theron in Devil's Advocate
I hope you start feeling better soon!
And FWIW, I think your hair looks great in that family pic.
I think your hair looks really great now!!
I LOVE your hair, but if it doesn't feel like "you" then you should change it.
Hope you start to feel better soon.
I hope you feel better soon. Have you talked to your Dr yet? I saw your post yesterday.
Aw S, I am so sorry you're feeling down still. (Although one could never blame you, you have been through a VERY rough time!) I really hope you're feeling back to yourself again soon. For what it's worth - I really love the dark hair on you! I think it looks great and compliments your skin! I also love the cut!
NOOOO, I love your hair right now! It's so pretty on you!
But, if that's what will make you feel better then I guess you gotta do it!
I'm sorry you are feeling so down, I didn't realize.
I know how you feel though. When you talk about 'getting back to normal'...sometimes I stop and think that I'm never going to be the same again. Because now, our families, our lives have changed and there is a new normal. So I am taking the perspective of embracing the new normal, rather than yearning for the old. Does that make sense? I definitely felt more at peace with my new life once I starting that line of thinking.
Not sure if I am making you feel better or worse. FWIW, I think your hair looks great. You can pull off dark or light with your skin tone. I really can't do the dark hair thing, but it looks great on you. Then you can lighten it again once summer comes.
This might sound strange, but have you been getting outside enough? Being in the sun and fresh air always makes me feel better.
Ugh, posted too soon.
Anyway, not sure if my run on sentences made you feel better or worse, but I hope you are feeling better soon. HUGS
so sorry that you are feeling sad. your hair looks fabulous, so don't let that bother you. I hope that you get help and feel better soon.
