Im starting our registry a little at a time and I'm curious, in your experience...do you need 2 playcars, 2 swings, 2 stationary activing mats? I'm thinking some toys 2 of but some just one so as they get older we can teach them about sharing. I'm open to any tips and advice you'd be willing to give me on what we'll really need 2 of. TIA

Re: moms with twins>?
So far we have one swing, one bouncer, one play mat. We just rotate who is in what for each play time. We plan to have two exersaucers, but only because they're being gifted to us.
I've heard of lots of MoMs waiting to see if both of their kids even like a particular toy/piece of equipment before they buy two.
My boys are only three months, but I would guess the only thing you NEED two of is carseats and high chairs?
We have one swing, one playmat, and two bouncy seats. I bought the second bouncy seat at a consignment sale after they were born for $3. As the PP said, we just rotate our kids because they are starting to get bored if they stay in one place for too long. We also have two PNPs but probably could have done with one - the only part of the PNP we really use is the changing table feature on the first floor of our house.
I don't know if you meant this or not, but we also have two cribs in their room.
We had 2 bouncers and 2 swings. They were both a must for our guys. We also have 1 exersaucer and 1 jumperoo.
We got 1 swing from a friend and the other swing from Kijiji.ca $25 --- can't go wrong!
I suggest this. I wish we wouldnt have opened both of our swings. We could of easily made it with one swin. Neither of my LOs were really big fans of the swing and would only go in it for maybe 10 mins. Same goes for the bouncy seats.
We did have 2 playmats and I'm glad we did because once they got a little bigger (about 4 months) they couldnt both fit under one without constantly hitting eachother in the face. Before that I would rotate the two mats during the day so they weren't staring at the same toys all the time. We also have two exersaucers and they LOVED them although we don't get too much use out of them ever since they started crawling, they much rather be "free". Obviously you need two carseats because they can't take turns in those. Two highchairs are a must.
We only have 1 PnP because we hardly ever use it unless were going to someones house that isnt equiped for 2 babies (which is every house but ours haha). I would suggest adding a play yard of some sort. We have the superyard XT gate and it has saved my life since they became mobile. I'm home alone most of the time and could not keep up with them trying to climb on or under everything all day.
The only thing we had 2 of was the bouncers. Actually, we had 4. I kept 2 downstairs and 2 upstairs. That was a huge help.
We only had one swing. I figured if they both loved it, we'd buy another. Turns out only one liked it....and for pretty short periods of time. We luckily borrowed it from a friend anyway.
We only had one Bumbo, and I would suggest having 2.
We have the Rainforest Jumperoo and an exersaucer (we borrowed the exersaucer). Truthfully, I wish we had 2 Jumperoos...they both love it.
Car seats, highchairs....obviously we had 2 of each.
Page Macchiatto. She has a link on her blog to a twin registry. I used it and it was super helpful.
I haven't seen her in awhile though, come to think of it......
This. Swings were how I got naps longer than 45 minutes. Bouncers were a safe place to set a baby down or let them nap.
