DH is gone until Friday for his groups annual offsite trip. Basically the 12 of them go somewhere and stay in a hotel for 2 nights and do pow wow type stuff. Last year they went to Philly and this year they're going to Cape Cod. They're not realy working its more of a bonding experience. I think its pretty cool since DH really gets along with most of his team. However one of DHs coworkers wives is LIVID at the idea. She gets in huge fights with her DH over it and begs him not to go. What would your feeling be?
Re: Does your or DHs company do "offsites"?
I don't see how it's a big deal. Since they already get along for the most part, and it seems to be a positive experience, then I'd be supportive of his attending.
Now, I have seen day trips at places I work at where people don't get along and management tries to "force" this bonding on people. That never goes well. But it doesn't sound like this is like that. I wonder what her gripe really is?
