eta: Sorry, I don't know where my paragraph breaks went! So, I went back formore monitoring this morning. Yesterday?s 28 measurable follies turned into 35overnight. So, even with coasting, my ovaries are still on over-drive. My REsaid he's very concerned about OHSS.He didn?t give me myexact E2, but said that if my levels had been 1,000-2,000 higher, he would havecanceled the cycle today and I would not have made it to egg retrieval. But, as it was, he letme decide, and I want to go ahead. So, I'm triggering tonight with eggretrieval on Thursday. The next hurdle is eggquantity. Yesterday I was worried not enough would be mature, but based ontoday?s ultrasound, that won?t be an issue, and it may in fact be the opposite. If we get more than 20eggs on Thursday, which he thinks we will, he will immediately give me drugs toshut down everything for at least a month, freeze the embryos, and startback up with a FET sometime in July.He is extremelycautious about OHSS. Since his frozen success rates are nearly as good as hisfresh, and I really don't want to get OHSS either, I'm ok logically with freezing. But emotionally, the thought of this cycle extending, and probably not having abeta until almost August, is really difficult. In the meantime, I'mreally, really uncomfortable. But, I suppose with 35 follies, that's to beexpected. Thanks again for all of the reassurance during yesterday?s freakout!

Best of luck! Glad he is taking such good care of you!
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
I'm glad your doc is being so proactive with OHSS prevention. I wish mine had been. We should have done a freeze all.
While it does suck to push everything back (which is why we didn't) it's so much better in the long run. I had 5 drains over 2 1/2 weeks, was absolutely miserable, could barely move, missed a vacation and a good friends wedding because I was too sick to travel, had to take lovenox to prevent blood clots, spent an extra $5k on hospital bills, and, worst of all, they think the severity of my OHSS caused my body to fatigue too early in the pregnancy and go into PTL.
I would do anything to go back and make a different decision.

I am glad he is being so cautious about OHSS and freezing all. I think that is the best decision medically although I know it is frustrating to you.

I'm glad he is being so cautious. If there is one thing our community is good for, it's learning from each other (and support etc).
So i'm inclined to think anything Cookie has to offer...is amazingly good and sound advice.
