I like the name Michaela, but I'm concerned that people won't know how to spell it. I know the way I have it in the post is the traditional and IMO correct way to spell it, but I worry that people will think it's Makayla or something else. what do you think?
I don't want my child to constantly have to spell her name for people. Also, my husband ( I don't necessarily think this is a problem) thinks people won't know how to pronounce it when reading it on paper.
Re: Michaela
I like it as long as it is spelled correctly.
I am a Christina, so I feel your pain..haha.
Go Phils!!
I've always liked the name Michaela and always known how to spell it this way. I do not like the alternate spelling Mikayla. It looses the historical reference to Michael (a wonderful root name) and just doesn't look as beautiful to me.
I do not like this name, but if you spell it Michaela then it gets a pass from me.
My son is named Ian and I have to spell it for people all the time, so I don't think you are going to get around that lol.
Wow! I had no idea people didn't know how to spell Ian.
I absolutely love Michaela, and only in this (correct) spelling. Michaela is on the top of our girl's list
Mispronunciation and misspelling are part of everyday life even with the simplest names so don't worry about it.
