What do you think of Dean as a boy name? It's a pretty significant family name for our family, but as a middle name, and we've always thought of using it as a middle name. Now we're throwing it around as a first name. I like it, and think it would grow well. Any idea why it's not more popular? Bad associations?
Waiting for #3!

I really like it, as a first name or middle name.
It's masculine, not you-neek and I think it ages well. Good choice
I love Dean. I think it's simple and cool.
I love it!!!
For BethPSU: We have a Reid and if we have another boy he will be named Dean Matthew!! What is your other son's name?
Our other son is Pierce Dean.
It's funny because this is true for me too! I also think it's one of the few names where I *only* know middle-aged men with the name and yet it doesn't sound dated or old to me... just strong and classic.
