I have to entertain a nearly 5 year old, a just turned 2 year old and a brand new infant this summer.
I need cheap ideas. Enclosed places are a bonus.
I'm halfway between ATL and Athens. I know about the fountains at Suwanee, playgrounds in Gwinnett co, the $1.00 movies on Tues/Wed at MOG, monkey joe's and CEC.
I have plans to go to the Yellow River Game Ranch and Fernbank. We'll probably skip the aquarium & zoo (too expensive for what it is).
Any other ideas? Help!
Re: what to do this summer (now that school is out)?
Look for story time at your local library. Sometimes the library also has activities for the kids like lego building and crafts. It might be a haul for you but you can go to PDK and watch the airplanes.
I agree with the pp and checking out the local library. Buy a sprinkler, let them run wild (that is if the space is there). Go on nature walks at local parks and teach them vocabulary with pictures (give the older children pictures of things they may see in the park, so they can easily point them out and then
There is a local atlanta deal site - that focuses on that - activities for your kids and for the whole family at 50% -70% or( something like that off). Its a really good site and they also do national deals - like today is a deal for 20$ for 40$ of merchandise at pishposhmommy.com. I know that because I bought one. I wish it was because I was finally pregnant! But the bag ( diaper bag organizers) are great for my big purses!! They have a lot of cute stuff!! Its called Scoopmama.com
