NBR: Dog sprayed by a skunk!

how do you get rid of the smell in the house after your dog gets sprayed by a skunk! it stinks in here! she is banished to the garage for now> we washed her with peroxide baking soda & soap and sprayed her with stuff we bought at petco but she still stinks too my son is at the babysitters to keep him away from the smell> any suggestions?????

i think a bath in tomato sauce does the trick.... maybe...

we used it on us but i"ve read that it doesn"t really work just masks the odor> i felt like i was in an italian restaurant while i was in the shower

Our dog got sprayed in July and DD went to the vet at 11pm to get stuff to take the stink out. It's called skunk-off and it works really well. I don't think anything will get it out 100%, but that seemed to help a lot. We went through 3-4 bottles of it though.

Ugh, I know exactly how you feel.  My dog got sprayed 2 weeks ago today.  We had to give her 3 baths (hydrogen peroxide, baking soda & liquid dish soap) and the smell is pretty much gone.  I don't really know how to get it out of you house besides opening up the windows.  I lit a lot of candles & sprayed Febreeze.  It will go away it just takes time.  Good luck!
