Sooo, Dr. Seeker is not the doc on call this weekend. Dr. Uribe is.
This makes me so crazy uncomfortable. Dr. Seeker is the one we've discussed the VBAC with ad naseum. Dr. Seeker is the one I want doing the surgery if it comes to that again for whatever reason. Dr. Seeker is the one who ok'd the requests we made about a r-c/s (dropping the drape, holding the babe afterward, etc.).
I don't know how Dr. Uribe will approach the VBAC. I don't know his surgical skills from squat. I just don't like this at all.
Anyone have Seeker's cell # so I can call him to come in if it actually happens in the next 2 days?
I guess now I'm hoping I last until at least Monday. Fudge.
Re: FUDGE. Dr. Uribe??
I know you've discussed all of this with Dr. Seeker, so wouldn't that be in your chart? You could always type up the things you'd discussed with Dr. Seeker and have a copy with your hospital bag just in case. Then when you get to the hospital, ask to talk to Dr. Uribe ASAP.
((hugs)) I hope it all works out and that you're able to have your VBAC, regardless of who does the delivery.

Ditto that. And also, I have two friends who delivered (twice each) with Dr. Uribe and they LOVE him.
Hang in there, rssn! Soon!!

ditto the birth plan and have it bolded, etc. what Seeker said he'd go for. It would maybe help to have a "doula" or the Rssn make sure he understands. Good vibes your way to have it all work out w/ Seeker but I'm sure things will be fantabulous with Uribe too.
I was going to see if you wanted to go for a walk tomorrow, but I guess that may be out?
I saw him a few times for weekend ultrasounds and IUIs, and I liked him a lot.Not sure how he would be in a delivery.
I agree with typing out the requests that Dr. S already approved and ask to speak with him ASAP about your C/S requests. Best to have all that discussed and out in the open prior to the time that a decision to have a C/S is being made.
I've heard nothing but wonderful things about him, but I would definitely let him know all the things you and DrS discussed if you do end up seeing him.
(((hugs))) it will be okay!
Oh and he was voted best OB in TX in some med magazine I had several years ago.
I hope to be looking at a vbac one day so I can feel you anxiety!
I'm sending lots of vbac dust with the new dr!
