My friend and I are having a combined party for our kids they'll be three and are one week apart...pirates and mermaids at a splash and play. I found some invite wording online but wasn't crazy about it...any ideas??
Also because the session is 10a-12n what should we serve? Brunch? Lunch? Something else?
We're making two cakes - one pirate one mermaid we found an easy recipe on youtube
Not too many activities b/c its a splash and play but we'll set up a plastic bin filled with bubbles and big wands.
Should we do a pinata or loot bags?
Re: Need birthday party help
Pinatas are always fun! Kids that age love that stuff... plus it counts as an activity. Love the idea of a bucket full of bubbles for kids to play. And the theme is very clever... love it.

Here is a blog post about a similar party: https://pinkandgreenmama.blogspot.com/2010/02/birthday-party-highlights-pirates-and.html
I like that they gave out smaller sand pails as party favors... maybe you can give those for kids to collect their candy.
I love party planning! : )
