I just installed my diaper sprayer yesterday and used it last night. I think I get a serious fail. I managed to spray poop water across half my bathroom. I didn't realise that the water was kind of bouncing off the diaper and spraying all over. Fail!
How do you use your sprayer? And how do you then get the wet diaper to the washer without dripping poop water all over the house? Luckily my bathroom was in need of a good cleaning anyway!
Re: How do you USE your diaper sprayer? I get a fail.
I fold the diaper in half, dirty side out. Then I hold at the top, with folded middle of the diaper close to the water. I hold the diaper sprayer close to the diaper and then spray downward at about a 45 degree angle. All of this is done while kneeling near the toilet.
We use hanging wet bags that I keep in the bathroom, so I just have the bag right by the toilet and drop the dirties in.
I just hold the diaper low and spray downwards.
When I have to spray a diaper, I just take a small diaper pail in the bathroom and plop the diaper in there.
This is exactly what we do, too. Wet bag or pail next to the toilet is key, and folding the diaper in half and holding the whole thing inside the bowl while spraying downward will keep you from spraying yourself and the bathroom. I think we all learned this the hard way when we first using the sprayer, lol.
I hold the diaper as low in the bowl as I can, and making sure it is flat is definitely key.
I keep a medium wetbag in the bathroom. Since I wash every two days that's usually enough to hold the sprayed diapers until I throw them in the pail with the other diapers I'm washing.
