Hostess gift idea

My mother and MIL are co-hosting a baby shower for me. I have an idea as a gift for them. I need to see what DH thinks too, but I thought I would see what you thought in the meantime (he is busy right now).

Our LO is the first grandchild for both sides (so you can imagine how much spoiling is ALREADY going on). Both moms want to watch him so we do not need to put him in daycare. I was thinking of getting them each a car base for the infant car seat we got. That way they know they will get to see LO (a fear of my MIL) and they already have something that will make watching LO easier.

Both parents are very much ones for practical gifts. One year the only thing on my mom's christmas list was a potholder (she was serious). For Mothers Day, all my MIL wanted was 'coupons" for watching our LO.

I would get a nice photo frame - when LO arrives, give them a nice professional photo to put inside the frame.

I think that doing the carseat base is a wonderful idea, but I would also pair it with something like the picture frame & picture suggested.
