Underside of the Snappi

What does it look like? Is it plastic or metal?  Just curious about how it grips and how secure it stays.

Thanks!

Re: Underside of the Snappi

  • It's plastic - it has 3 (4?) teeth that grip the diaper. If you've ever used an ace bandage it works the same as that little metal gripper thing that holds the bandage tight.

  • Loading the player...
  • It stays totally secure! I've never had one pop off, if that's what you mean :)

FWIW, when women who CDed "back in the day" see my snappi, it's the first thing they comment on!

  • Its really flexible and much better than pins imo

    11 months
  • Very flexible... there are even little hearts imprinted into the plastic.
  • it stretches pretty far, so the little "rakes" which is what they look like (plastic) hold the fabric really well. DD hasn't figure out how to get it off and neither has DH.

super easy to use and way faster/easier than pins (and it lays flat once in place, unlike pins that can poke out)

i found a pic online of the claw part, my claw is white even on my colored snappi... but you get the idea:

  • Here's the white one(it's the newer version with the safety feature of being able to fold the edges over):

It's all plastic, even the teeth. Here's how it goes on:
