10 m.o. sleep/routine help

we've been using the EASY method (since 4 m.o.) and things have been going very well. ?our day is basically...7am bottle, 8:30 b-fast, 9 nap, 11 bottle, 12:30 lunch, 1 nap, 3 bottle, 5:30 dinner, 7pm bottle/bed. ?DD has been standing and screaming in her crib during her nap. ?she's getting a 3rd tooth and has been out of sorts. ?do i need to adjust the schedule? or keep things the way they are? ?how do i cope with her screaming? when we switch to milk do i go to 3 bottles a day and 3 meals? ?if so around what time do the bottles happen? i hope this makes sense, it's early and my coffee isn't in yet. ??adjusted they're 7.5 months, but they're ahead of their adjusted age (both crawling and pulling to stand). TIA for your help. ?i was about to snap yesterday...

Re: 10 m.o. sleep/routine help

  • Hi, we waited until our girls were 1yr old to start them on whole milk, (well it was actually a few days after they turned 1yr right after their ped appointment). Maybe others here with more experience would know better but if were you I would check with your ped to see if you need to wait until your babies are 1 yr adjusted. At the time the girls had 4 bottles and 3 meals a day. We wanted to also wean them from bottles while we introduced whole milk to them so we dropped the afternoon bottle first and went a few days and then replace the lunch time bottle with a sippy of whole milk. We then continued this for 4 days and then replaced the morning bottle. The evening bottle was the last one we changed to a sippy of milk. I thought this was going to hard but it was such an easy transition for my girls. I've seen so many different ways on these boards to switch some people mix the milk with formula, others just stop formula or bm one day and start whole milk the next. Our girls are milk hogs so this has been easy for us. They just drink 3 sippy cup of 7-8oz of milk with their meals, but I know other moms that give their child a sippy of milk 4x a day just cause that works best for them.

I think the screaming is just a phase they will out grow and unfortunately I don't think there is much you can do, have you tried the teething products ie baby orajel etc. We were lucky and Tylenol worked for our girls. Hangin' there eventually they will end but screaming fits are tough especially at 2yrs old.
