For some reason, whenever this name comes up, there are a lot of haters. I can't understand why. I personally love it. It was on my list until my husband nixed it.

If we have a girl, her name will be Gemma.  I have loved this name for about 10 years now when I read a book and the main character was named Gemma.

There was just a post about this, so you might want to check out the responses on that thread.  This was the name that DH and I originally planned to use for our first daughter, but we changed our minds when we found out we were having a girl.  It's definitely high up on our list for a future daughter.
