XP: recommend your steam mop....

I feel kind of stupid asking haha. I have tile kitchen and bathrooms, and linoleum hallways and laundry room.  I am SO sick and tired of getting on my hands and knees to get them clean and sanitized because a regular mop just doesn't cut it! If you have a good steam mop let me know!  If it was expensive was it worth the money? Are there any out there that are cheapies out there that work well? TIA!!

  • The Shark steam mop was $100. The mop cloths are machine washable. I've got shiny ceramic throughout our main floor. I love mine and it makes floor cleaning way easier/quicker.

I heard these work well too. It's also a bit cheaper on Amazon i believe.

  • I also have a Shark and like but don't love it. Feel like it does a pretty good job on the hardwoods but not as good a job on the tile. I have read that the more expensive models are slightly to significantly better because the steam gets  to a MUCH higher temp. But, I got my Shark for about $40 at a really, really good Kohl's sale. Hard to pass up that deal!

  • This is the one we had and I really liked it. I need to get another one though because we gunked it up with our crappy water. My H kept forgetting to empty it when he was done using it.

  • This is the one I have:

    https://www.amazon.com/Eureka-313A-Enviro-Hard-Surface-Steamer/dp/B001LYFBHG

I do really like it and one of the reasons I went with it was because it apparently heats the water hotter than most of the other mops and so actually sanitizes (which was important for me with babies crawling around).

It does a good job.  I won't say great because while it's good for everyday, if I really want the floors clean and shiny, I still find the best way is hands and knees.

  • I have a shark steam mop, I got it for $55 a walmart awhile back. I really like it, it's quick and I love that we aren't using any chemicals.

Same for me.  I got this one because it heats the water to a hotter temperature than the other mops on the market.

It does a good job- I'm just not a fan of the cloth it comes with.  I would have preferred a microfiber cloth or something that makes me feel like it's pulling more stuff up.
