If you're bored... vote on my boy's name

I know most of you have already decided on a name and are sick of looking at these, but for some reason this is the hardest decision ever for me and DH.

My last name is also a first name, and rhymes with "Black."  No middle names yet.

I have posted this before, but we've added and subtracted some.  :)

  • I voted Gabriel, but that's my son's name so I'm biased.

  • I like Ian. I actually love that name but DH thought it was too short

I do too!  We are wondering the same thing with our short last name.

  • I'm having a hard time with a middle name "Jack".  I guess I'm a traditionalist.  Jack used to be nickname for John and love it when parents name their son Johnathan or John and use the name Jack for a nickname.

Of course, what is funny about the name Jack is that 1) John is quickly going down in popularity.  2) you can't go anywhere without running into 5 million little boys named Jack anymore.

But if you are absolutely hooked on Jack for a middle name (which...based on your choices...it looks like you are! lol  I'd go with a 3 syllable first name.  Because when you say X-X Jack it feels kinda....stunted...? Like it was stopped when it wasn't supposed to be.

    If that makes sense?

Like Austin Jack and Lucas Jack. I always liked the name Austin and don't hear it much in my area. I am a fan of less popular names.

Jack is not the middle name, it's my last name.  :)  We don't have a middle name yet... but I totally agree with the stunted thing... that's why it has been so hard to pick a name!!
