Gainesville/Warrenton Pediatrician Rec?

Hi - I'm due in August and want to see if anyone on here goes to a great Pediatrician in the Gainesville/Warrenton area? I would love a good recommendation! Thanks in advance!

Re: Gainesville/Warrenton Pediatrician Rec?

  • i live in warrenton but i take my kids to Crestwood Piediatric.  they have offices in Haymarket and Manassas.  i really like the care they give my kids so i don't mind the distance.  i have heard good things about Warrenton Piedatrics.  i cannot think of any other ones off the top of my head.
  • Spiffy - will Crestwood let you do a delayed vaccination schedule? That is one of the things we are looking for in a pediatrician. Thanks!

they are pretty relaxed so i would assume so.  we didn't delay vaccinations, but they never really push anything upon us.

  • We go to crestwood and love them too.. We didn't ask but I actually think they only do the standard schedule unless of a medical reason etc.. But it won't hurt to ask!
  • I take my daughters to Crestwood and we love them. Dr. Allen is our favorite! They'll all great though. We go to Haymarket location which is much nicer than the Manassas location in my opinion. I feel that Dr. Allen would definitely be flexible about immunizations. She always asks me if I'd like to separate the immunizations or split them up. All the best with your little one!
  • Thank you all! I set up a prenatal appt with Crestwood for the end of June, so hopefully that will go well! The receptionist was super nice on the phone, which is unfortunately rare I've found, so that's a good first sign!
  • we go to Haymarket Pediatrics and I love them.  There is very rarely anyone in the waiting room, they take you back within 5 minutes of you arriving, and you don't wait long for the doctor once you are in the exam room.  We see Dr Bauer

  • Hi,

We use Creastwood Pediatric, and like Dr. Abbott the best.  We go to the Haymarket office and they also do prenatal visits (great way to see if you like it there or not).  They are great about answering new mom questions.  I have had a lot of experience with them over the last 6 months since my son was born in November.  and you can get same day appt or even Saturdays.

     Hope this helped!

  • Another vote for Crestwood here.  We have seen Dr. Abbott & Dr. Rhue and like both of them.  Good luck!  Our DS is our first and Dr. Abbott was really great about sitting down with us and answering all of our questions and gave us a tour of the office.  The only thing I don't really care for is that they don't have sick/well waiting rooms in the Manassas office, but if you go in the late morning & afternoon, I've found that it's not quite so busy with sickies if you're just there for a well-check.  The doctors won us over, though.
