Pregnant after a Loss

Sinus Infection question

Two weeks ago I went to the Dr. for a sinus infection.  They put me on amoxicillin and I finished it on Thursday.  My teeth have been hurting so bad!!  I've been taking Benadryl because they had told me I could take it if the infection was bothering me enough and the Amoxicillin was cutting it.  The Benadryl seems to help but should my teeth still be hurting so bad?  I'm still having a little bit of drainage also.  I thought about going to the dentist but it's the whole left side of my mouth that hurts not just one tooth.

Re: Sinus Infection question

  • Your teeth could be hurting if you still have a bit of an infection. I would call your ob to see if he can give you another round of Amoxicillin. They may tell you to see your PCP.

I know when I get sinus infections, my teeth hurting is the first sign.

  • Not sure if this will help or not... try Simply Saline. I had some sinus infections earlier this year and it helped a lot. It's OTC. The nurse said to squirt it up each nostril with the head forward, to the side and slightly back. Weird, I know. She said don't let the saline drip down your throat, just let it pool in your sinuses then blow your nose in about 10 minutes.
