Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Do you think he eats too much?

Ok, my husband was saying yesterday that he think DS might eat too much, I don't know. We kinda started him on solids and didn't talk to the doctor about it. I mean, we did, we told him we were giving him rice cereal, and he told us to give it to him twice a day, but then last week we started jars and didn't ask the doctor. But, this is a child who was eating 8 ounces of formula at 1.5 month old. Anyway, this is what he eats:

Morning: 3 tablespoons of cereal with formula, I fill his bottle to 8 ounces, take out some formula out to mix with the cereal and give him what's left.

Lunch: An 8 ounce bottle

Mid-afternoon: An 8 ounce bottle

Dinner: 3 tablespoons of cereal with formula (so I guess about 3 ounces of formula goes into it), and half a jar of a veggie (2 ounces of veggies)

Before bed: An 8 ounce bottle of formula

Re: Do you think he eats too much?

  • Is he otherwise healthy?  Is he meeting milestones.  He might just be a big eater.
  • Yes, thank God he's healthy and he meets his milestones. I think he is just a big eater!! He's not big though, at least I don't think he is!

  • If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it. It sounds like he's doing really well, thriving and meeting milestones. I wouldn't change a thing. Nobody knows your  baby like you do so keep following your parental instincts. It sounds like you're doing well!
