Pregnant after a Loss

Got my doppler!

It just came today...

I hope that I can hear something when I use it.  When did you hear a heartbeat on yours?  and was it easy to hear?

I know when they do it at the doc office I hear whosh whosh whosh, is that it?  Boy do I sound stupid.. lol

  • I was able to hear the HB on my doppler around 11 weeks.  Just be patient and don't get too stressed if it takes you a while to get the hang of it.  I know I had to search around for a quite a while for the first week or two to find it each time.  (and I have lots of practice using a doppler as a nurse)
  • I heard it around 12 weeks and it sounds just like it did at the dr's office! I've found that a full bladder helps. GL!

  • 12 weeks is the first time I tried and i heard it loud and clear. it was a woosh woosh woosh at first, now it's more like hoofbeats. It sometimes goes back to woosh woosh, but i think it much just depend on how far away from the probe the baby is.
  • Thanks ladies!!

  • I tried using mine the other day and could not find anything at all.  So I gave up.  I figured I"ll wait a few more weeks.
  • How exciting!   Mine should be delivered on Thursday!
