Terrible night with DS!

DS went to sleep last night like a dream, even though he was all wound up. I woke up myself I think twice before midnight and then around 1, DS started crying. Not like an "I'm hurt or sick" cry, just a whiney cry, so we let it go. well he kept at it, stopping and starting back up. I finally went in and tried to rock him, with no success (as usual, he just can't get comfortable on my boney shoulders I think) and gave him some tylenol for his tooth thinking that might be it. I put him down and sat there while he tried to sleep. Fail. So I left him and thought he would fall back asleep. Repeat this and then DH went in and brought him into our bed. Bigger fail. Back to bed he went and was good for awhile. But for the rest of the night, every hour for about 10-15 minutes (or maybe I just fell back asleep) he would cry. And one time after he finally stopped, my dog started barking at something outside and woke him up again!! Ugghhhhh. And to top it off, when I went in to wake him up this morning he was smiling!

Apparently he thinks he needs to get us ready for the new baby. I actually started having dreams (in between his crying) about being awake with him and the new baby. Sooooooooooooo tired!

Augh! I'm so sorry. It's nights like that which just make you feel insane for having another LO on the way. Hopefully it was just a fluke and tonight he's back to normal!

Thanks ladies. DH is on call tonight and I have a feeling he may have a better chance of getting sleep if he stays at the hospital! Hopefully it was just a freak thing though!
