  • I haven't but DH has had 16! And his body has a hard time taking to freezing...

I've had 6 - including 2 on the same tooth, and one that was an abscess that required me to miss a week of work in the worst excruciating pain I've ever experienced. My teeth are made out of eggshells (so are my mom's) ... we always hope that LO gets DH's teeth.

Wow! That's a lot! My friend had 4 and I thought that was a lot!

Wow, I seriously think it's all genetics. My mom has great teeth and my dad, well, not so much. Unfortunately, I got my dads teeth.

  • Nope, and I do think genetics play a huge roll.  My mom was also obsessive with our dental care when we were growing up.  The only dental work I have ever had was my wisdom teeth removed, and when I was 20, I broke a molar on an errant popcorn kernel (which sucked).  Also, no braces or anything.

  • I've had 2.  I feel bad you had to have one, I just had my second in January when I was just in the start of second tri.
  • I've never even had a cavity. I agree, it's genetics. I have very strong enamel -- when I had braces they used to pop off all the time because my teeth were not porous enough to allow the glue to make them stick. Not to say I didn't take care of my teeth, but I never did anything extraordinary.
