I spoke with a woman named Kathlin today, I haven't heard it before. Thoughts?

Personally, I have not heard the name before. I love Katelyn and think its much more recognizable. I would go Katelyn.

No accent, it was pronounced Kath-lin and she spelled it out like Kathlin.

I'm almost positive Annette Bening and Warren Beatty have a daughter named Kathlyn.  That's the only other time I've heard it.  I think it's hard to pronounce.
