Another milk s/o, probably stupid questions

I just found out that a farm 1/2 a mile down the road sells hormone free raw milk and follows organic farming practices but w/o certification.  I've never had raw milk before and I know nothing about it.  Does it taste the same?  Is there anything I should be concerned about?

  • you run a risk of contracting bacteria like salmonella from raw milk. we had a recent outbreak in the dallas area from a farm that sells raw milk. i haven't had it, and have nothing against it, but it is something to consider, especially with little kids, or anyone who may be immune depressed.

  • It's good :)

& Like PP said, there is a risk of bacteria from it, but that goes for anything raw, which is the only reason behind the "No sushi / soft cheeses while pregnant" thing. [Which I never followed.]
