help me decide! (diaper cover issues)

i have to buy small covers that will fit a newborn. everything i have with the exception of some OS kawaii covers are all 6months+ sizing.

SO.... i can't decide if i should just stick w/size one thirsties or if i should bother w/specifically newborn sized covers.

i know in the long run duos size 1 would be cheaper since i would just have to buy the one size and not have to worry about it from there on out... bc then she could wear ds's covers.  

but in the short run, it seems that it would be cheaper to buy sized covers and then attempt to resell them to pay for bigger sizes.....

 so should i just suck it up and pay  more up front for the  size 1's? or should i just do whatever's cheapest at the time?  

i'm primarily looking at used covers at the moment since they're much more in my budget at the moment.

I bought several size 1 Thirsties Duos and also have some XSs that a friend gave me.  In reality, I don't see the point in going through the trouble of buying newborn covers specifically and then sell them.  I'd just get the size 1's if it were me.
