Diet GREAT for getting rid of PG FLUFF

I just thought I would share... I started the South Beach Diet last week and so far I have lost 8 lbs! The great thing is it seems like I lost it all from my belly! That FLUFF that you get on your lower belly from having a baby is melting away! My parents have been doing this diet for about 3 weeks now and the bloth were sheading belly fat so I thought I would try it and sure enough it is working on getting rid of that baby belly fat!

The South Beach Diet isn't really a diet as much as it is a lifestyle change. The first two weeks all you eat is veggies and protein. I just thought I would share this for anybody who is trying to get rid of that belly fluff from the baby!

  • That's great! I did this once a long time ago and lost 12lbs in 10 days! The only problem is that if yuo go back to eating regularly the way you used to you gain most of it back. I wound up eventually gaining back 8 of the 12 that I lost.

Ditto, works great but it would be hard to maintain that diet forever.

  • This is how I got back to pre preg weight as well.  I pretty much ate like this before I got PG, then went back to it after I had the babies and lost all the weight.  You are correct it is a life style change, but it is very easy to live a modifed version. I still have a few meals or treats each week that are not considered south beach friendly and I have maintained my weight.
  • Yes I would definetly say that if you do this "diet"  I would do it more for a lifestyle change..... I live in the south and around here everybody eats alot of fried foods and potatos... so I wanted DH and I to change the way we eat in general.... and this is a great way to do it.
