North Carolina Babies

North Carolina Weather makes me sad :(

We found out recently that we were going to be able to move, so I've been frantically packing so we could move this weekend while on "vacation", I just checked the weather & for the next 10 days straight there is at least a 50% chance of rain :(

  • I think that's pretty normal for Spring anywhere. There's always a chance of a passing thunder storm. I hope you can find a clear day to get your moving done!

  • Thanks! It's just not normally a straight 10 day chance (or maybe I just haven't been too concerned before). We are moving everything out all at one time, so as soon as the weather clears, we will get it done!

  • it POURED just as our moving van pulled up to our new house to unload. It had been decent all day long, but waited until that moment to have a downpour. It was about 6pm, and the lightening was rightthere, so we told the crew to just go store the truck and come back in the morning. The one good thing about the south is that most of the time it will rain for a short bit, but the rest of the day will be fine.

    Where are you moving from?

  • Yeah, that is one really good thing. We aren't using a truck tho, just a big flat-bed because we are just moving up the driveway. For me, it's just easier to use the flat-bed and clear the house out all at once, plus if we can get a break in weather & we get everything in, it can rain all it wants.

We are just moving back to the old family house. My grandmother rented it out after my grandfather passed away because she just couldn't live in that much empty space alone. She is living with DH and I, so we are moving back into that house per her request.
