Hello!
While it was very easy for DH and I to agree on DD's first name, her middle name has been a completely different story. Finally we are 99% sure that her name will be Carolina Andrea.
Well I was just looking up the meaning of her name and I found the following:
Carolina = Free Man
Andrea = Man, Warrior, Manly
Do you guys think this is too masculine? Does the meaning even really matter? DH thinks that this just means its a good strong name.

Wow! I am really big on the meaning of names, but in this case I might have to overlook it because I think it's such a pretty name.

I wouldn't worry about the meaning if it isn't a big deal to you. The name is very feminine. I actually pay attention to meaning because both my mom and MIL have plaques in their houses with their kids' names and the meaning and life verse that goes with the name. Unless you plan to do that, I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think I've ever had anyone ask what my name means.
I've looked up the meaning for the names we've discussed and probably wouldn't use it if it's terrible, but that's just because my family has always put emphasis on name meaning.
Thanks ladies! This comment especially made me feel better....I think this is true!
Who cares about the meaning of names? All names have some kind of meaning, and personally I find them all ridiculous. You will find them all to be something like 'strong one'..'a gift from god'....'pure righteous one'....'beautiful prayer'...LOL.
I think Caroline Andrea is a beautiful and pretty name.
Very feminine too.
I think different sites will give slightly different name meanings. Look at all the crooked noses (Cameron) or the unlucky ones (Mallory) and people still name give their children those names.
Carolina - Feminine form of Charles, then I found this on nymbler:
A girl's name of French, Germanic and Italian origin that has a country-western accent. Carolina was most popular in 2004 and is currently ranked #355 among the U.S. girls' names. Meaning: French: little and strong.
So, take the meaning you like best for a name you like the best.
