I don't get it either. I mean when I was 10 I thought it would be awsome if my cat was named Jazmyn instead of Jasmine, but then I left elementary school and the idea wasn't so cool anymore.

I have a "Y" in my name. My dad is Rodger with a "D", so he decided that it's only fair if my sister and I had to spell our names everytime someone needed to write them down.
My mom also has an "E" in her name, which is a legit spelling, just a little less common.
I will agree that 97% of the names that have "Y"'s in them look ridiculous. Especially when there's more than one.
