Anyone nervous about their growth scan?

I have mine next week at 33.5 weeks. Our anatomy scan was perfect And LO is currently breeched and dr wasn't worried about that but did say something I didn't like. He said " oh well do an u/s next time to see his growth and make sure we didn't miss any problems or issues". Geese thanks doc I was just getting used to not feeling worried all the time now I am gonna be so nervous about this scan hoping everything is still ok!

I'm nervous at every appt. I just hope she's where she needs to be. I had a 4d ultrasound done and she wouldn't tell me her size, but she said everything looked good. Just keepm praying and your LO will be A OK!

I have a growth ultrasound tomorrow, but today my midwife said that baby is measuring exactly where he should be so not to worry at all. I'm just looking forward to seeing our boy again!

I dont have one scheduled...but I want to have one. Is a growth ultrasound routin for your doc? I'm thinking about asking my doc for one.

Yes it's pretty routine. I will only have one unless he is still breeched then they will keep watching him.

I'm totally worried about it! I was diagnosed with GD so if the baby is too big they'll induce early with the possibility of a c/s. Every time I go in I fret that they're going to tell me for certain when I'll have to deliver. The next ten weeks are going to stress me out more than anything else.

I'm not sure they are routine for many docs. They aren't at mine. I have been measuring small though so I have one scheduled for Friday. I'm kind of nervous but also excited to see her again (and hopefully she is still a she!).

It depends on where you are from.

In Canada they do not consider a late term growth ultrasound medically necessary unless there is something of concern earlier on in your pregnancy... like a low lying placenta or something.... I kinda think they sometimes do more harm than good with women freaking out about "OMG my baby weighs a bajillion pounds!!" and they turn out to birth a normal, healthy baby.

This!  LO has been frank breech the whole time, and once she turns (IF she turns), I'm totally afraid they'll be like, "oh look, it's a boy!"  The funny thing is, I was initially really nervous about the thought of raising a girl, but now that I've gotten used to the idea, I'll freak out if this is another boy! 

FWIW, OP, because LO was in a difficult position to definitively determine gender, my OB has been saying things like, "well, maybe we need to take one more look to make sure everything is ok - *wink, wink!*" because my insurance will only cover late ultrasounds if there's some medical need for them.  She did the same thing when I was pregnant with DS  "to check his growth and also take one more look at his belly measurements - *wink wink*" because huge babies run in my family and she wanted to make sure DS wasn't too big (he ended up being 7 lbs and I still had a hard time delivering him!), but she wasn't sure insurance would pay for it unless she could indicate that she was worried about an actual problem.  Maybe your doc is playing the same game, but isn't as good at letting you know that's what's going on?
