There are 3 other ladies at my job who are pregnant and are due around my due date. Whenever I ask them (or my formerly pregnant friends) about their experiences with Braxton Hicks contractions, they look at me like I am insane and say, "Ohh I've never had those." Wow way to make me feel abnormal!![]()
Re: Friends look at me like I'm nuts when I mention BHs
My lab partner's girlfriend is pregnant and due about a month after I am, so he's always asking me questions. He was telling me how freaked out she was because she was having contractions. I'm like "do you mean Braxton Hicks" and he's like "umm.. what are those?!"
God help them both.

Agreed--I think it's weird I haven't had any. Or, at least, noticed I'm having them.

This. I think I've been having them longer than I thought and I've just now recognized what the feeling is. I was getting them confused with the baby changing positions or just thinking my belly was tight because I was full or something.
This. I have had them non-stop this time, hardly any last time. I was more worried last time when I never got them!

I have no clue what a BH contraction feels like. When people talk about them it kind of freaks me out and I hope hope hope I don't get them.
My Dr told me as long as I stay hydrated it wouldn't be uncommon for me to not feel any at all. So that is what I'm going for. I've been drinking water/G2 (and the occasional Sierra Mist) like crrrazy!
