ditto maybride. but I think it's the 200 not 2000 unless she got some super fancy one! ?don't freak if you use it and can't hear the h/b. ?I didn't get a good strong h/b until 13 weeks or so. GL!

my doctor recommended one from Imex, but the one he suggested can only be rented in canada (and couldn't find a used one ANYWHERE). So I went with one made by the same company and sold/rented practically everywhere - It's the Nicolet (Imex) Elite. I got it used at Dynamic Doppler and it's great.
As far as tips go, my doc recommended we not get one until 16 weeks because it can still be hard to find. I got mine a little before 15 weeks (around 14.5 weeks) and we have found it every time. HOWEVER, it has been hard to find a few times, even as late as 18 weeks. My suggestion is to use plenty of gel until you get used to how much you will need. Also, lay as flat as possible and start as low as possible on your abdomen. Move slowly, even staying in one spot for several seconds to hear some changes - you'll get used to it.
