September 2011 Moms

anybody else only have dreams about one gender?

We're team green, so we're not going to find out until September. But every time I dream about the baby, I always dream about a baby girl! It might have something to do with the fact that we have our girl name already and don't have a boy name, because I dream about her with her name, so I guess maybe if we selected a boy name I'd dream about him too?

It's just interesting to me that that's all I ever dream about. Wondering if anyone has similar experiences!

Re: anybody else only have dreams about one gender?

  • I had one dream very early, shortly after we found out.  Whoopi Goldberg told me during tea that I was going to have a little Girl and that we would carry full term.

My DH thought I was nuts.  Just found out Friday that we are having a little girl.

Every time I dreamed about our baby before the a/s, it was a boy. And we had issues picking out boy names. We had our girl name already chosen.

Turns out it's DEFINITELY a little baby girl in there!

  • I only had a couple baby dreams before finding out, and they were both baby girls! DH and I were convinced this baby was a girl from day one, and all the OWT's pointed to girl... but we have a little BOY on the way! So, I def. wouldn't take dreams to heart!

  • All of my dreams before finding out were of the baby being a girl.  We're having a boy.

  • I had one dream that we where having a girl. And we found out about 1-2 weeks later that we are infact having a girl!I

And earlier I also had a dream that I was pregnant. It was the only pregnancy dream I had ever had. Then 4 days later I found out I was pregnant!  And now, I'm having the same dream over and over that she arrives a week early. I had it again last night! So I wonder if that one will come true too!! We'll see!

  • With DD, around 15 weeks I had a dream it was a girl and what her name was. I was completely convinced it was a boy until that point, and even up until my anatomy scan. Lo and behold, she's a girl and we used the same from my dream - it was the only girl name that seemed right to me.

With this LO, I have had two dreams that she was a girl. In the first, her name was Ruthie, which DH and I would not use. We'll find out tomorrow if it's a girl or boy, but my silly little theory is that since the name was so right the first pregnancy and so not right the second, the dreams must be wrong this time :P

  • I had three baby dreams and they were all a little girl. The 3rd dream, the baby had a name and we decided to use the name as our daughter's middle name. Since finding out that LO is a girl, I haven't dreamt. We too only had a girl name picked out but we were biased from the beginning as we were specifically trying for a girl. Embarrassed

  • I had dreams about a baby boy...and then I found out that I am carrying a boy.
  • Every time I dream about the baby it has been a boy, even though I was completely convinced we were having a girl.  We had an elective ultrasound on Saturday and it's definitely a boy...so I guess my dreams were right!

  • I only had dreams about boys. But I was convinced he was a girl, right up until the tech said it was a boy and showed us.

The weirdest dream I had was the one where I had a c-section delivery of twin boys that were pulled out of me fully clothed and strapped into car seats. Scared the crap out of me.
