How different were/are your symptoms?
When did you start to show (as compared to #1)?
If you've already had #2, do you feel like your symptoms had any correlation with gender, personality, or anything else?
Just wondering. I'm still really early in this one (6-7 weeks), but symptoms are a little stronger than last time already. Last pregnancy was very uneventful. This time I'm all mood-swingy and nauseas. I literally just burst into tears while reading that TCBY is giving moms free ice cream on mother's day. I have no idea what that was about.
BTW, TCBY is giving free ice cream to moms on mother's day.
Re: Tell me about your second pregnancy
I'm currently 10 weeks 6 days with my second child and symptoms are WAYYY worse than my first. I just got over the morning sickness (well I haven't had it for the past week) and already my back hurts sometimes. With my first pregnancy I barely had any symptoms.
Good Luck!
my symptoms were different this time around.
first time around my boobs swelled up pretty much as soon as i found out and were super tender, this time, none of that.
i had m/s first time, this time i haven't had it.
had really bad heartburn w/both
overly emotional w/both lol.
that's about all i have to report lol. pg#1 was a boy, pg#2 is a girl.
oh and i definitely started showing sooner w/#2.. like A LOT sooner, so much MIL kept saying i must be having twins.

I had pretty easy pregnancies with both but definite differences between the two -- and I had two girls as you know.
I started showing much earlier. By 13 weeks, people were already asking me what I was having . I think you uterus starts expanding quicker the second time -- it already knows what to do type idea. Plus your ab muscles aren't very good at holding it back anymore.
I think my pregnancies are pretty similar. I do have to say however that my lifestyles have been different for each pregnancy and that's probably what's made a difference. The morning sickness and nausea were just about the same, but the energy levels have been different.
For #1, I worked long hours and exercised some (walked for about 6-8 weeks regularly) and gained a lot more weight. For #2, I've been exercising frequently since the end of the 1st tri, and I feel more energetic. I am a SAHM so I have more down time to get R&R when R is napping and I can sleep a lot more than I could before. I have gained 1/2 as much weight as I did with #1. I did, however, start showing about 2-3 weeks earlier with #2. I think that's just b/c I never strengthened my ab muscles back b/c I knew I'd have #2 soon and it just wasn't worth it at the time. : )
Both pregnancies were completely different after the 1st trimester. With both - I had minimal M/S, and boob pain, but that was it. After the 1st trimester though - I found with my 2nd I showed right around 13 weeks, my back ached more - probably b/c I was chasing Ella around the house, and had the worst heartburn. I would also say - I was way more tired this time around - again - probably chasing Ella and keeping up with her had something to do with it!
oh my gosh I've never been this tired in all my life!! haha and it's totally having a toddler to chase around in addition to pregnancy. But it does make the pregnancy not something I focus on as much this time around which I like.

My Sweet Girls
My two pregnancies were very different! Both girls and both born in late March--2 years and 5 days apart.
With #1 I had m/s from 7:30am--11:30pm. I never hurled but was nauseous the entire time. It was horrid. I could only eat crackers. I started showing at like 14/15 weeks or so. I also swelled SO badly pretty early on. I was put on bedrest in the last few weeks because it got SO bad. I carried high and got fat everywhere. Keira also was a tyrant in the ute. She was a tumbling kicking punching fool! And those who have met my kid, you know she's wild and full of life and energy. She also was a crap sleeper.
With #2 I felt great until about 4pm and then felt icky. No food sounded good and I hardly ate dinner. Never got sick like with #1, just felt icky. Not even close to how I felt with Keira though. I started showing like the day I peed on the stick, but was always all belly and though I gained the same amount of weight I did with K I looked SO much better. I only looked pregnant in my belly vs everywhere else. I carried low and didn't have an ounce of swelling (before the baby) until a few days before I delivered when one side of 1 ankle got a tad puffy. Callie was a VERY calm baby. She was not a big mover and was very calm compared to Keira. (In fact, she was SO calm we ended up with 2 NSTs and an ultrasound a few weeks before delivery to make sure she was ok.) Obviously she is only 5 weeks old so I don't know how she will be, but now she is living up to how she was in utero--calm, chilled out, hardly ever cries and a great sleeper! (KNOCKING ON WOOD.)
