Are you Saved? Because apparently Jesus is returning in just a few short weeks...

Not wanting to spark religious debate or anything here...but I do feel for these people who are *convinced* He is returning that day...and I do kind of fear for how they will react when that doesn't happen. Like this guy:

"If May 21 passes and I'm still here, that means I wasn't saved. Does that mean God's word is inaccurate or untrue? Not at all," Warden said.

I would think that if it doesn't happen that would make God's word accurate because if I remember right it says something like Nobody knows the day or time of my return not even the Son.... I'm saved so I'm not to worried about it. He comes when he comes and I will be going home Big Smile

I've been seeing these billboards up all over the place and I finally googled it yesterday to figure out what the crap they were talking about! Bit of a stretch in my opinion. I've also never been a fan of fearmongering to save people.

This. Maybe they don't believe in the bible? That'd be ironic.

He uses this verse somehow to justify how we do know, although it didn't make sense to me. The bible also says it will come like a thief in the night. Not it will be a secret until some dude "outsmarts" the bible.

This same person also predicted the coming of the Lord back in the early 90s. When it didn't happen he said he made a math error in calculating the day and recalculated it for this May. My theory? He probably thought a.) he'd be dead by now anyway or b.) the world was going to implode by now so no one would be around to say he was wrong again.

I googled because a house a block from mine that has these posters in the yard and an SUV wrapped in skulls, crosses, and hellfire saying the end is coming. I had to figure out wth it was about.

My H is tempted to sit in front of the house near us on May 20 and as the clock turns to midnight set off a boatload of fireworks and scream "the end is here."
