DS needs new pants. I don't normally shop at Children's place but they have what I want -- lightweight roll-up pants.
I am not sure whether I should order a 4T or a size 4. He's 40 inches tall and at least 35 lbs which would be too big for the 4T but I don't know if they run big/small, etc. I know in Circo at Target the pants are always way bigger than the stated size and I know what size he is at Old Navy.
Help please!
Re: children's place sizing?
Hmmmm. My daughter is 35 lbs and 37.75 inches tall. SHe fits perfectly in 3T pants right now at Children's Place, but needs a 4T at Target, Gap, ON.
I feel like CHildren's Place sizing is very similar to Gymboree.
I found that infant sizes ran small but after 12 months they ran big. Lucas wears 2T in most places but he's still in 24 months at Children's Place (with plenty of room) in them. He's definitely not ready for the 2T there.
He's 29 pounds and 34 inches.
Thanks! I'm going to go with size 5s I think. From the pp it looks like their sizing is right on and when I looked at it again, he'd only have 2 lbs and 2 inches of wiggle room in the size 4, none in 4t. And I'm hoping to make it through the rest of the summer with the stuff I'm buying now.
It makes me want to cry a little that he's not yet 3 and he's already in boy clothes.
This is exactly the info I need! Thank you! How was the waist? I know the pants I picked have adjustable waist and they roll up so they seem pretty adjustable on the way down but I'm not sure the size 4 will give him enough room to grow.
I know the pants you're referring to and I buy them every year. Ryan is pretty skinny - not quite 40 lbs and he's tall. I buy him the 4ts in both those pants and in their jeans. They fit perfect around the waist but they're too short. Rolled up, they'd be fine on him....I've just never rolled them. I know that they're "okay" to do it but if feels so "capri-ish" to me. Maybe I'm the strange one! LOL
(So after that long synopis, I'd probably go with the 4t over the regular 4).
He has been in big boy 5s for over a year from Target and Old Navy.
