How did your older child react?

My son will be 2 mo. shy of 4 when i have the babies. Right now he is so excited and tells everyone he going to be a big brother, his mommy is having twins and they are going to be Sam and Lily. He asks all the time when they are coming to "play". I show him newborns on You Tube to show him how little they will be ect. Im trying to prepare him as much as possible.

I know its all going to be different when they are actually here. Im so nervous he's going to feel neglected. He's been my little sidekick for so long. I really want to keep my routine with him and still do all the little things i do with him. I plan on nursing too and i know that takes up alot of time. So im feeling guilt over possibly pumping and feeding to make it easier so i have enough of me to go around for everyone.

Now im rambling, sorry So anyways how did your oldest react once you had the babies? How did you keep up with everyone?

My daughter was just like your son, super happy and telling everyone! The day they were born and she was coming to the hospital I heard she was still so happy and psyched to meet them! When she came to the hospital room and saw 2 babies in the bassinet she started crying, bring super clingy to daddy and begging him to be held. We were in complete shock of the reaction, but instead of forcing her to come closer to meet the babies or daddy saying no to picking her up, we didn't force her to come touch them or meet them as a matter a fact daddy picked her up and walked out the room to talk to her and "baby" her. Ironically it was just that one episode at the hospital and since coming home she's been a great big sister, big help to her brothers and we still fit in one on one time for her alone with me or daddy. We alternate outings with her she's not jealous at all and still raves about her brothers
