It seems no matter how much I am buying to wear to work (business casual) ... every morning is a struggle to find something that I actually feel attractive and comfortable and professional in.
Ladies what are some good outfits for work? I seem to like dresses with flats or low heels, and cardigans, but maybe I should try something different ...
HAPPY WEDNESDAY!
Re: getting dressed for work ... UGH!
Ugh. I typed this big post for you but it didn't submit!
Anyways, to sum it up, I am in the same boat. I have all these maternity tops and dresses I've bought for work, but don't feel attractive in them now. I think the problem is they are too baggy on us now. They'll be much better later in the summer, but for now I've found that I feel much better if I wear a pre-pregnancy dress or top that's long enough on me, that way it hugs the belly. Right now I'm wearing a non-maternity stretchy cotton gray skirt. My mom gave it to me as a hand me down, it looks dressy but it's seriously like wearing sweatpants. Then a pre-pregnancy lacy silk-ish tank (hugs my belly) and a black cardigan. I didn't fool with buying maternity cardigans since I wear them open and they shouldn't be too small. Hope that helps!
I feel your pain. Sometimes I have to be super duper professional and that's a struggle period. I agree with Natkay too in that most of the crap I've bought is still too big to wear. I've made it through with two pairs of ankle slacks with heels and cute, but business like fitted shirts. I refuse to wear dresses or skirts yet. One, I'm as pale as I've ever been and that is doing zilch for my self esteem as I seem to balloon every day and two, I KNOW that's all I will wear allllll summer long. Once it gets hot, I seriously doubt any of us will want to wear any kind of pants or sleeves. So, I'm saving the dresses for then.
The only thing I have found that makes me feel better and not frumpy is accessories! Belts and jewelry have saved me from a total break down a few times. HA
Thanks!
