**Lady Galadriel**

I noticed in a post below that you said you had chicken pox multiple times.  so have I (and my sister). i thought we were the only ones...Smile

Just curious as to why you are planning on getting the vax for your kids.  b/c of this lack of immunity i have decided not to get that vax for my son. 1) i've had the vax and don't have immunity, so i don't want to subject him to this vax if he also might not get immunity. 2) it's a live vaccine, so if he gets it, he can theoretically give the pox to a non-vax person for 2 weeks.  I have gotten chicken pox from giving someone the vax before, so i would feel like i need to stay away from my DS for 2 weeks to avoid getting it (again).

I was just curious as to your reasoning. if you don't want to share personal health info, i understand.

  • *butting in* I've had chicken pox multiple times as well!  I plan on getting J's titer levels checked to see if she has immunity.  If not, I will give the pox vax when she goes to school as it is required here.

  • If I remember right they came out with a new vax when I was around 15ish. My mom had me get it and no more hicken pox since then. Hopefully it will help ds. (unless my mom just told me that so I would let them do the shot)
