My husband and I have been trying to conceive for over 8 months with no luck. My period used to be a to the minute 28 day cycle. Ever since going off the pill my cycles are now 30-35 days and some months it can be 40-50+ days. Trying not to stress this but worried that something is wrong with me.

Hi,
The bleeding you get on the pill is not a true period. A true period comes 10-16 after ovulation. The "period" on the pill is just a false period caused by the dip in hormones after you take your last active pill. Everyone's period is 28 days on the pill. It does not mean you are having regular periods.
I would recommend reading a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility.
If you find that your cycles are getting longer or staying longer, I would see your OB or a reproductive endocrinologist -- who is a specialist in getting pregnant.
Good luck!

Baby N conceived after 1 miscarriage and more than 2 years of TTC. Diagnosis was low sperm count. We found success after 3 months of anastrozole to increase DH's testosterone and one IUI.

It can take a normal couple up to a year to get pregnant. Are you charting to make sure you are ovulating? If you arn't charting then you should probably start doing that before you get worried. You could just be ovulating late and if you arn't aware you are ovulating late then you could be missing your prime time to conceive. fertilityfriend.com is a great site to learn how to chart on. Also a 30-35 day cycle is not that uncommon and not abnormal either. It can take your body some time to adjust from being off BCP. Its also not uncommon for a woman to have an anovulatory cycle during a year.
So long story short you should probably start charting your cycle to make sure you are ovulating and keep trying for a full year. I would also recommend moving over to the Trying To Get Pregnant board. This board is more for the ladies who have been charting and trying for over a year or who have been diagnosed with something. Good luck to you.
How do you know when you ovulate? Are you charting your basal body temperature? Taking OPKs? Your period is never really "late," it is just that you ovulate later, which makes your next period come later. It is only late if you ovulate and then go 16-18 days after that without a period.
As PP said, the "Trying to Get Pregnant Board" will probably be able to help you more. This board is more for people who have been trying more than a year or have a diagnosed medical issue.

I'm sure she won't be back on this thread. This is what I am talking about when people post and then never come back! I'm sure she did not even read it.
OP, if you do come back, I am not trying to be snarky. I am just using your thread as an example of a question I asked a few days ago. WHy people post a question and then never come back. It doesn't bother me that much, I am just curious why they take the time to ask a question and then don't read the answers.

I agree Chicago. I don't understand why people don't come back or come back and just repeat what they said in the original post over and over again.
To OP, I hope that you have maybe gotten some good answers from this board and that TTGP gives you even more info. Use OPK's or chart your temps and I hope you get your BFP soon.
