vigurl, i'm in dallas. are you planning on using a birthing center? we want to use the one near downtown. i didn't realize there was one up in allen, but that makes me happy.
I wish my DH was that supportive lol. I've tried several times to get him to practice just labor positions with me and he never wants to. It really hurts my feelings.

For what it's worth, I *really* worried about how supportive my DH would be during labor. I voiced my concern several times during the duration of my pregnancy and I never felt that my DH "got" what I was trying to say. Once I was in labor though, he was wonderful, really. I just needed him there, to hold my hand, so to speak, through it all. While I physically labored, my DH held me, listened to me, and told me I could do it. We even had an argument the night I went into labor b/c I was worried he'd react poorly if I said "I can't do this" or something similar during labor; thankfully, this argument led him to be able to say the right thing at that point in labor. I'm telling you all of this in hopes that you won't feel too discouraged about your DH. Sometimes I think guys just don't "get" that while your body knows what to do during labor, mentally you'd like to be prepared, too. Good luck!
