How many follicles are considered "good" with IUI?

I know all you need is one good follie, but with IUI? I just had my follie check today and I had two that were around 19 mm and the nurse said that was excellent! I had one that was about 16 and she said it's possible it may grow, but the other two were more realistic. I trigger tonight and I'm so excited to see this possibility!

I was just reading some about this... I had my frist round of Clomid tonight ... Good luck to you!  It sounds like depending on where you go, the ideal number is either 3 or 4... but having 1 or 2 is not considered bad... lower chances of conception, but also reduced risk of multiples

Your right, all you need is one.  I had two my last cycle and they said it was fantastic.  This cycle I have three and they said the same.  I think it all depends on so many different things.  People get pg with only one follies so there is hope.  Good luck with your IUI this week!

I just had my first IUI after Femara on April 20th. The nurse told me that all you need is one, however, I had two awesome follies, one on each side, 23mm and 25mm. She told me that was excellent because usually on Femara they only see one mature follie. I hope your two possibly three follies bring you good luck at your IUI this week!

Most Dr's seem to cancel if you have more than 4 - the most I've ever gotten on Clomid is 3.  You only need one though   Good luck!

It depends on your Dx and also your history. When we started IUI, my RE was shooting for just 1-2 follies since I ovulate on my own. Now, my RE said he'd do an IUI with up to 5 follies since we haven't had any luck so far after 4 IUIs.
