Tomorrow is DS scheduled circ and Im really nervous about it. I just watched a video of a plastibell procedure being done(bad Idea) and now Im having second thoughts..So my question is, How did your LO do after his circ? was he in a lot of pain? TIA..
Re: Ladies with circ'd boys, I have a question..
This 100%. I was a wreck, Jack was totally fine. He slept through the whole thing.
But.... It's day 6 after birth and his circ looks nearly healed.
If you cuddle him as soon as he gets back, feed him, and just make him comfortable he'll be fine.
Oh and follow exactly what they tell you to do about the site.
You should listen carefully to your heart.
There is no reason to do this to your baby, and plenty of reasons not to.
There is a lot of support for you if you feel that you are being pressured to circumcise.
You can cancel the appointment and protect your baby.
A post I wrote about mothers and how circumcision hurts us too:

Circumcision is extremely painful to babies and it changes a man's body for the rest of his life. The glans is supposed to be an internal part of the body, protected by the foreskin. The foreskin itself contains many unique sensory structures which circumcision will destroy, changes also happen to the glans because after circumcision it is dry and exposed to abrasion with clothing. Respect your son's human rights to his whole body, respect your mother's instincts which are telling you to protect your baby. He was born perfect, a precious treasure just the way he is.
