Sex...how long after did you do it?

So DH and I are having a discussion and he said that many people did it before they went back to the dr (~ 6 weeks) I said that I would rather wait until I went back to the dr at 5-6 weeks and he wants to do it soon. I feel great so far, but im scared to do it. So my question is when did you do it if you have done it? and also, how bad does it hurt? TIA

I may be crazy but we still haven't done it (3 months on Wednesday). I had a very easy post partum period but I just feel really uneasy about it. DH is okay with it, just wants me to be ready.

I won't lie, there are some emotional issues there too. But even if those were resolved, I think it would be difficult...

We waited 8 weeks, so it was well after my 6-week checkup. You really should wait to see if you're all healed. It's not a DH-torture method, despite what he may think. Your insides were basically a gaping wound and are prone to infection if you're not fully healed.

At 8 weeks, it didn't hurt. I was surprised.

6 weeks. felt like my wedding night all over again!!

Haven't done it since. hate condoms and waiting on AF to start my bcp.

8 weeks.  We tried sooner, but it was a little painful.  I think I made the pain worse by being so nervous.  We used lubricant at 8 weeks, and it made a world of difference.

We did it at 4 weeks and had no problems.  But I had a c/s if that makes a difference.

8 weeks, and it still hurts.

Haven't done it yet, it's been 3 mnths and 3 days!! DH keeps saying he's nervous because of the complications I had (serious rips, tears, and stiches, and a cyst removed).
