Teeth grinding?

Ever since DS started getting top teeth, I hear him grinding them often against the bottom ones while he's awake. Is this just 'testing them out' and he'll eventually get over the novelty?

    Two of my kids did this right after they got the top teeth! It drove me nuts but when I would hear them doing it i would hand them a teether! Finally stopped after a few weeks!

    Thanks for the info! Hopefully he'll stop soon. Don't want him messing up his brand new pearly whites ;-)

    Viv did this too. She only did it for a couple of weeks, thank goodness. It  made my skin crawl!
