Another BJ City Mini question

Sorry for yet another question, but has anyone put an infant in the City Mini  *without* using a car seat/ car seat adaptor? (We have the double, but I assume they're the same for this question)

I'm really not wanting to pay the $$$ for the car seat adaptor.  I know the seat reclines fully, so I'm almost tempted to try DD in it sometime (I don't think she has enough neck contorl yet - but maybe sometime soon?)  - but the thought also makes me nervous as we never used anything but the Snap n Go with DS until he outgrew his infant seat.

Re: Another BJ City Mini question

  • I would wait until DD could hold her head up on her own. We didn't put DD in ours until she was probably like 4-6 mos old.

  • We've put E in the fully reclined seat since she was about a week old.

  • I have the city micro, and tried using our Chicco with the belly bar - worked like a charm!

This. DD rode in it fully reclined at 1 week and never had a problem!

  • Elsie was in the reclined seat at around 3 months.  It goes totally flat, so I am sure she will be 100% fine
  • I didnt get my mini until E was older, but my SIL used hers from birth. She reclined it fully, used a head support and she made sure that he was strapped and he did fine.
