Success after IF

Is this a developmental delay?

My littlest and youngest one (by a pound a minute LoL)  doesn't try to stand when you hold him up erect, his legs just slump down.  My other two stand with strong legs and back and have been doing this for quite a while.  I have a 4 month (yikes) pedi appt soon and plan to mention it but I thought I'd ask you ladies.

Re: Is this a developmental delay?

  • How many weeks were you when you delivered? I think Brady was delayed in this and I think he was able to do this at 6 plus months. I know Preston and Jordana were closer to 5 months!

I was almost 36 weeks, I don't think I would even have noticed but his brothers are SO strong at this.

I would bring up at your 4 month ped visit! It might be just fine considering they were born shy of 36 weeks. When I was looking for answer with Jordana's not pooping issue I never mentioned the twins were born at 36 weeks until I went to a new GI and he said that going by her adjusting age things started to make sense.

I should also mention I would compare the twins a lot so I understand why you are questioning it!

Uggh - so sorry that you're both sick, hope you're house is healthy soon.  Just give me a yell if you have some free time.

I'm doing a lot better, I never ended up calling the doctor but I seem to have gotten past my bout of PPD/PPA.  It's still not easy here but I can manage things much better.

  • i don't think marlo did this at 3/4 months but theo definitely did. it's so hard to not compare them! i think it's a very valid thing to bring up at your appt but i wouldn't let it worry you.

  • I think Simon started doing this at about 3.5 months but it took Amalia until about 5 months (actual ages for both). Every baby is different but it's so hard not to compare!
