we're making progress!!

long story short... DS has had horrible reflux since he was 2 weeks old. After 7 weeks of unbearable, inconsolable screaming all day long, we finally switched medicine and he has been such a happier baby ever since! Well, due to his reflux and him being in so much pain, we have had to rock him to sleep every night of his life. I've started trying to put him down for naps when I see he's getting tired so that I don't have to rock him for naps too. 

For the exciting news.... I did our nightly routine of bath, bottle, swaddle and then put him in his bed. He stayed awake and looked around for about 45 minutes, I had to give him his pacifier once, and now he is sound asleep and snoring next to me. He fell asleep ALL BY HIMSELF!!! So exciting!

I'm glad to hear you're getting to enjoy your baby more, and sorry you had to go so long with hearing him suffer. It's nice to hear things going right. Enjoy your happy little man, and congrats to him starting to self soothe!
